Some happy memories from our old photos below, before sailing took over our summer holidays!

Bring your own bikes or hire in Morillon village or in Samoens town.

Go up the chairlift next to the apartments and come down as energetically or slowly as you like!
There are different level cycle routes (VTT) signposted.

Stop en route at the Igloo cafe, at the cheese farm or down in Agy near the winter cross country ski trails.

Near Sixt

At the top of Flaine

Coming down above Morillon Les Esserts

Cyclers at rest!

The Lac Bleu in Morillon village - water is very cold, but very pleasant to sunbathe by and cool down in!

Morillon Lake

The Swimming Pool at Samoens with slides, kiddies pool and lovely views of surrounding mountains.  Note this is a French municipal pool, so boys you need to wear your speedos!

Samoens Pool

Lake Geneva - lots of lovely swimming areas.  Our favourite is a grassy beach near Amphione-les-Bains.

Swimming in Lac Leman + peddle boats!

Lake Annecy - again,  lots of swimming areas.  Our favourite is near Talloires with diving boards and platforms.

Lake Annecy

By the lake in Morillon village and in Samoens (first turning on right on entering Samoens from Morillon side of river)

From Sixt down the river to Samoens

On way down from Sixt to Samoens

You can go down on your own, in a 2 man or as a crowd on a big rubber dingly!

On the river on the way down to Geneva (via Taninges, Les Gets and Morzine)

Down the ski slopes in Morzine + other ways of hurtling downhill, such as on skooters with a big ball wheel, are always being dreamt up!

From the Fer a Cheval (Horseshoe) at the end of the valley at Sixt, and up!

Up from the apartments and over to Samoens or Les Carroz - lots of routes marked.·

Up the mountain above Les Esserts

On the way to the Igloo

Made it to the Igloo!

Refreshment at the Igloo.  You don't have to walk up!  You can just go up in the chair lift and walk down, or cycle down!

Along the river in Morillon - flatter!

In the park at Samoens - even more gentle!  Or go up through the Jardin Botanique in Samoens town centre.

Drive from Morillon via Vercland up towards Samoens 1600.  Towards the top, on the left is a track signposted to Lac du Gers.  Park in car park at the end of the track and walk up and up to the Lake where there is a restaurant/refuge.

There are lots of golf courses in the surrounding area ranging from clockwork golf  in Morillon by the lake to a very high golf course just before you get to Flaine.

There are also courses in Les Gets and near Talloires on Lake Annecy.

From the top of Samoens 1600, landing by the swimming pool in Samoens
